City plants tree in honor of WYSE, football
With the success of the football team this past season, and with Friday being Arbor Day nationwide, the city of Carlinville presented Carlinville High School team with a White Oak tree which was planted in front of the high school. Shown with Mayor Deanna Demuzio are CHS football captains Nate Thompson, Dylan Chism, Jacob Dixon and Brady Egelhoff, along with head coach Chad Easterday. The assembly at the end of school Friday also recognized the WYSE team’s second place finish at state, and there was a talent show featuring several CHS students. Each student in the school was given the opportunity to take home a white oak tree to be planted at their discretion.
