CHS 15th in ICTM state contest

CHAMPAIGN (May 10, 2018) – Carlinville High School took 19 students to the ICTM (Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics) State Math Contest at the University of Illinois Saturday, May 5.

The team finished 15th in Class 2A.

The Oral Team of Grayson Armour and Andrew DeNeve finished 12th, the Algebra II team of Tyler Behme, Andrew DeNeve, Cora Gray, Jay Rosentreter, and Logan Rosentreter finished 11th, the Calculator Team of Tyler Behme, Josh Davis, Andrew DeNeve, Paul Kibe, and Reagan Kulenkamp finished 8th, and DeNeve finished 4th (out of 149 state qualifiers) in the individual Algebra II competition.

This is the fourth year Carlinville has had a team.  Seniors Armour and Robert Wiggins have participated in the state contest all four years.  The team is coached by Darrin DeNeve.
