CAH Auxiliary celebrates role in new wellness path
CARLINVILLE (Oct. 12, 2017) – Representatives of Carlinville Area Hospital Auxiliary met Sept. 23 to celebrate the organization’s $35,000 contribution to the brand new wellness path located just south of the Medical Office Building on the hospital grounds. As a result of ongoing fundraising programs, the Auxiliary’s contribution made up almost half of the total cost for the path.
“The path is ready to use right now,” said Auxiliary co-president Jan Best. “It is open to the public and to CAH employees without cost. And the hospital staff will use it extensively for patient rehabilitation services.”
“There are some additional elements featured in the original plans, but those will come later, and I’m sure the Auxiliary will have a hand in financing those as well,” said CAH/Auxiliary liaison Jamie Bray.
Hospital CEO Ken Reid attended the commemoration to express his appreciation for the Auxiliary’s role in financing the path. “Our hospital management team and our staff have developed and maintained a first-rate health care facility,” he said. “But we owe a great deal to the Auxiliary for its enthusiastic commitment to supplement our services with additional programs, equipment, and software through their fundraising programs.’
