Boente joins Extension staff
CARLINVILLE (May 31, 2018) – Amanda Cole, Unit 18 County Extension director, recently announced Sarah Boente has joined the Extension staff. Boente is the new office support assistant working out of the Macoupin County Extension office in Carlinville.
Boente grew up in rural Carlinville on her family’s farm. She participated in 4-H as a child, and she and her husband Jason operate the family farm. Their children, Maddie and Tyler are members of the Pioneers 4-H Club in Carlinville. After high school, Boente attended Blackburn College, where she completed her bachelor’s degree in business management. She then received her master’s degree in education from Greenville College.
Boente stated, “I am excited about working with the various programs that Extension offers. I am glad I get to support these valuable programs that combine agriculture and education, which are two of my favorite things!” In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, cooking, reading, gardening, traveling, and watching her kids play sports.
