Barn-to-Barn 2019 Celebrates 10th Anniversary

The 10th anniversary of Barn-to-Barn Classic was a tremendous success. With participation from area businesses and community members, fun was had by all for a great cause.

After an absence of agriculture education for more than 25 years in the Girard and Virden school districts, several community members and businesses believed it was important to bring back agriculture curriculum in the new consolidated school district, given the important role agriculture plays in the local communities. The group presented a proposal to the committee working on district consolidation to financially support agriculture education and FFA in the soon-to-be established North Mac School District. Through the efforts of agriculture business partners and community supporters, Barn-to-Barn was established in 2010 for support of agriculture education in the North Mac School District.
