Anniversary – Hardings’ 60th

CARLINVILLE (Sept. 7, 2017) – Bill and Lucille Harding will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday, Sept. 7.

They were married in 1967 at the home of her parents, the late Lee and Mabel Quarton, in Palmyra. Attendants were Ida Mae Leach, sister of the bride; and Kendell Harding, brother of the groom.

Mr. Harding served as Postmaster in Carlinville the last 13 years of his 35-year postal career. He retired from farming in 1999 after farming the family farm northwest of Carlinville for more than 50 years.

Mrs. Harding worked for Schien Trucking and Youth Service Bureau of Carlinville.

They enjoyed creating Country Candles and Crafts for many years and looked forward to all the acquaintances they made through the many craft shows they attended.

They have three children, Cheryl (Gary)Canavan and Gary (Jaylena) Harding, all of Carlinville, and Anne (Nate) Langham of Keyesport; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
