Alzheimer’s program offered in Palmyra
PALMYRA (Dec. 7, 2017) The Alzheimer’s Association Illinois Chapter will offer an educational program, “Know the Ten Signs: Early Detection Matters,” at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 19, at Silver Strands Senior Citizens Center, located at 133 West State Street in Palmyra.
Early detection of Alzheimer’s disease allows patients a chance to begin drug therapy, enroll in clinical studies and plan for the future. Attendees will learn the 10 warning signs of Alzheimer’s disease, hear form people who have the disease and find out how to recognize the signs. Presenters will also separate myth from reality and address commonly-held fears about Alzheimer’s in America. Program specialist Michelle Ramlow will present and take questions following the program.
